Scandinavian Windows And Doors

These are cozy and exclusive design windows manufactured from many small squares. 

They open outwards. An outward sash presses harder against the frame in case of strong winds. This is why these windows are very popular in Scandinavian countries, where marine climate is prevailing.

In Lithuania these windows are used to preserve the antique style of the buildings, e.g., in log, frame houses and rural homesteads, in houses built or renovated in cultural heritage territories.

  • 56 mm thick sash profile engineered timber (finger jointed / not finger jointed softwood, oak, mahogany, accoya), frame thickness 116 mm.
  • 24 mm thick glass unit (double glazing) with warm edge and Low E coating.
  • Opening sideward, sliding sideways (window sash opens at 90° angle and slides into the middle), side swing (window sash rotates at 180° angle around the vertical axis). Horizontal swing (window sash rotates at 180° angle around the horizontal axis), sliding down (the bottom of the sash opens outward, and the top descends down).
  • Stainless steel hinges ASSA (opening sideward) or PN Beslag / IPA friction stay.
  • Products can be assembled with handles or tradition hooks.

Outside doors may vary in shape, materials and its purpose. The final result depends on the location of their installation, and on the individual requirements.

 

Traditional outdoor doors are made of 56, 68 and 78 mm thick engineering timber (finger jointed/ not finger jointed softwood, oak, mahogany, accoya). Thickness of the casings 116mm.

 

  • Supplied with a 24-44mm thick safety / security glass unit (double or triple glazing) with a warm edge and a Low E coating and / or insulated door plate;
  • Doors open inwards and outwards;
  • Aluminum STORMGUARD or Hardwood threshold;
  • Stainless steel hinges ASSA ABLOY (opening sideward) or PN Beslag / IPA friction stay;
  • One or three fixation ASAA ABLOY lock;
  • Protection against wind and thieves;

 

Panel entrance doors are made of 56, 68 and 78 mm thick engineering timber (finger jointed/ not finger jointed softwood, oak, mahogany, accoya). Thickness of the casings 116mm.

 

  • Doors open inwards and outwards;
  • The panel is warm and additionally inside reinforced with metal inserts before splicing;
